If you're at that level, then you're not actually "good" at anything, you need to develop a strength for yourself. So my advice to an Archon player would be to focus on a particular aspect of your gameplay at first. Just watched my own replays occasionally and watched DotA Alchemy vids on youtube. Once I put in some effort to actually honing my macro late last year, I went from A2 to D4 in a month or two. My weak macro could only hold me back so much at that level however, as I would win my lane 60%+ of the time and that would put me at a numerical advantage that would reduce the impact of my weak macro/itemization decisions. I was casually a mid-Ancient player for quite a few years as I had a great mechanical base skill from years of WC3 Dota and League before, but I had weak macro decision making and wasn't making a concerted effort to improve. Then they need to work on shoring up the other half of their gameplay to compete at a 5k+ level as you need to be solid in both regards at that point. People usually get to 4k-5k level via being solid mechanically or having good macro.
